More details John, please. What happens when he/she tries? Does he/she
have a fill bucket on his/her Formula Toolbar or is it missing? Can he/she
not fill cells by clicking on that? Are there no colors in there? Can
he/she fill them by going to the Format menu and choosing Cells and clicking
on the Patterns tab? Does he/she see colors in there? Does he/she get an
error message?
Have you tried Detect and Repair?
