Neat trick for iOS devices - using a lightning camera adapter (essentially

a native iOS Ethernet port for iOS 10 and later.
I got one of those camera adapters because I wanted to have the option of
connecting a USB flash drive to my iPad to lighten my load when traveling
around to make presentations and stuff. But every time I plugged in a flash
drive the iPad said it drew too much power and I would need to attach a power
adapter. At which point that defeated the purpose. Will see if I can dig up a
USB Ethernet adapter just to try this out.
My original message wasn’t totally clear though. The giant download is on my
Mac with Mail.app. The iOS client also has to have the account recreated but
there isn’t nearly as much mail to download because the iOS Mail client only
syncs 30 days of mail and I only have Exchange push certain mailboxes to iOS or
iPadOS anyway.
