Neat trick for iOS devices - using a lightning camera adapter (essentially
adds a USB port), and a USB Ethernet adapter (yay old Air adapters!) works as
a native iOS Ethernet port for iOS 10 and later. Makes those iCloud restores
and large movie files downloads way faster and more consistent. There’s some
vendors who make native adapters now aimed at iPads for register and
conference scenarios but not as fun with Frankenstein.

This was added to make CarPlay function when it first started as wired-only. A
person at a third-party company figured it out and posted it to Twitter.
It’s also used by companies to load large files to devices en masse. There are
a few manufacturers of high speed USB hubs. If I recall, one or two of them
literally overheated and shit the bed after about 5 hours of use.
