Sunil,

The I2C boards are not uniformly available everywhere. The only boards
available are the 16x2 lcd boards, they have a consistent interface and a
stable arduni library

Subject: [minima] Saving arduino lines

Dear Farhan,

The present design of digital board uses 6 Arduino lines for LCD
alone.
Why don't we use an I2c LCD instead. They are very cheap and the code
needs only two line change. I2C lines can be shared with Si570. In effect
we will save 6 lines. That will be enough for all future expansions.

I am presently using this i2c adapter for all my arduino projects.

I got PCB from Sandeep today. I will start building over next
weekend. and will post the progress.
