Hmm, why exactly should we stay away from it in Lion? I'm not having problems with it except that I'm having trouble figuring out how to uncollapse my playlists and I did have one incident where I got busy signals but that isn't happening normally. I did read that people found it totally inaccessible in Snow Leopard so I'm holding it back in my Snow leopard installation. Oh, also, it does appear that xiphqt for playing ogg files in iTunes is inaccessible in Lion so either keep a Snow Leopard installation or play ogg files in another player or convert them, but I think that may be an OS issue and not an iTunes upgrade issue since xiphqt was listed as not working in Lion on roaringapps.
