Hey Phil, No worries! You should have seen all the questions I sent to the list before buying my Mac. And everyone was great about it. From what you say you wish to do, I'm sure the Mac will be fine. In a lot of ways it's fun to use the Mac, but there are still a few annoyances, like selecting text on a web page that hopefully will be worked out soon. I'm not sorry I bought a Mac, but would not be able to get by without my old Windows machine to do the things the Mac can't do yet.
