[macvoiceover] Re: can't add files to playlist in ITunes

Hi Laura,

I think maybe I solved it without having to turn curser tracking off. Wen I
select "Ray's Mac book Pro" by pressing the space bar, I just use the arrow
keys to find the external drive I want then operate it like a tree view. IF,
however, I tab past a certain point after having selected my Mac Book Pro,
Voice Over starts stuttering one one one one one ETC. When it gets all stuck
like that, I have to force quit what ever AP I'm trying to use for browsing.

I'll keep your hint in mind next time I run in to that. Thanks.

Sincerely,
The Constantly BAREFOOTED Ray!!!

Ray, I'm not sure this will solve your problem, but try turning cursor tracking
off before manipulating the sidebar. control-option-shift-F3 will do this for
you--you might need to add the FN key, if you're on a laptop and haven't
changed the behaviour of function keys.

If you've got a lot of files, it seems that having the keyboard track with the
VO cursor can cause problems while browsing. I've found it a lot easier to add
attachments and investigate the finer since I heard this tip. Although try not
to be like me and spend a couple minutes after you're done trying to work out
why nothing's working, only to remember that you forgot to turn cursor tracking
back on. The same keystroke you used to turn it off will turn it back on.
