I don't think just touching the phone is going to completely unlock it. I
didn't get that from what I was reading. I did not watch the event, as I was
gone. But it is going to take that Face ID or probably a passcode to actually
fully unlock the phone. Just touching the phone is absurd. Anyone could do
that, and Apple is not going to release a product that will unlock it the
minute anybody picks up the phone.

I don't like that you can just touch your Iphone 10 and It will
unlock, that doesn't sound safe at all. I think for sighted people,
face recognition will be very useful, but for us blind people, I
didn't hear anything that made me go wow. I think It sounds ok, but my
Iphone 6S does everything I need. The 256 Ram is a very good thing,
but that already was in the Iphone 7.

Just did a quick read of some articles, and of course they’re not saying
what the alternatives are, like how you could always use a passcode or not
have a lock on your phone, also no indication of how a really visual
technologywill work for us. My favourite line in one of the articles was,
keep your snazzy new iPhone away from your evil twin.

maybe nobody on here knows the answer to this yet. If the iPhone 10 uses
face ID but only works if your eyes aren't closed and you are looking at
it, will quite a few of us who are totally blind still be able to use it?
