What I concluded is that the setup application on the drivers CD does not sem to be accessible to VO navigation. Please keep in mind that I am painfully new at all this, so I probably am doing something wrong from the get-go. I, like you, don't have sighted help to make all my dreams com true in an instant, so I'm going to wait until either my mac-friendly friend comes by again (days to weeks?) or I come up with an ingenious way of verifying that I indeed do have the drivers installed as they should be, and go from there. In the mean time, I can use other OCR software on ... that other platform... I'll be sure to close the blinds to hide my shame when I do so...

Hmm, maybe the driver updater is something new because I don't recall using anything like that. But if it works you'll know because when you restart your computer with the scanner plugged in, the scanner should make some noises as the computer logs in, etc.-- Cheryl "Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."Click on the link below to go to our homepage. http://www.icanworkthisthing.comManage your subscription by using the web interface on the link below.//www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover Users can subscribe to this list by sending email to macvoiceover-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxxwith 'subscribe' in the Subject field OR by logging into the Web interface at //www.freelists.org/list/macvoiceover
