Same problem came up for me during my recent issues staying connected to my
WiFi router. One way to check this is to cycle your WiFi on and off when you
know you have messages stuck in the cue to go out. Go to your menu extras bar
with VO M twice, and click on turn WiFi off in the appropriate menu. Turn it
back on, and if you hear the sound effect for mail sending right away this is a
pretty good sign it is something with the WiFi settings. For me it was an IP
address conflict with another device, probably my iPhone. I don’t know the
particulars of why, but something was blocking mail from sending without
blocking receiving email. First step is to cycle your router on and off by
unplugging it for a few minutes and then plugging it back in. This refreshes
the router settings, which should be sent fresh to your computer. No, it seems
like they havne’ come up with anything better than physically unplugging to do
this in the last 10 years. There isa complicated but good reason for this. If
cycling your router doesn’t work, there are steps you can try next, there is a
good article about it that somebody helpfully sent to the list a week or so ago
in response to my cry for help. Making the effort to find it in my bookmarks
now…there we go.
