When I go back as far as the Mail app will let me, the only account listed is
Gmail. When I try to re-add it, it says it’s already enabled. In Settings, it
says my Apple ID is being used for ICloud mail. So I’m not sure how to do what
you’re suggesting. THanks, though.

Did you check the list of in boxes within the Mail app? If it is there but
not showing up that would tell you it needs to be enabled. There is a
Mailboxes back button at the very top…I just checked mine and wow I have a
crap ton of mailboxes I forgot about. You can also see if you can access it
directly from the mailboxes list, If it’s not there then a mystery needs to
be solved. You could try disabling it and re-enabling it from your accounts
setting page.
