Seriously.

And those devices have a good excuse for even those few steps, as they don't 
have always-on Internet access. An iOS device is practically always online, so 
it should download material directly, and skip the steps that are required of 
the digital book players. Instead, it adds even more steps, and wastes even 
more time. Don't know who was the product manager for this, but I wonder how 
they didn't realize these facts when it was being designed.
