Does the second method destroy all personal data, or is it able to be
recovered at some point?

drop box is accessible tyhrough menu extras to do so after pressing VO M M,
VO right arrow until you hear dropbox. then VO SHIFT DOWN ARROW to interact
and open the menu. Quit drop box and then delete it from apps. however,
doing this doesn't guarantee data security. there will be a pref file linked
to this containing any saved passwords.

if you're passing on a machine, I advise one of two procedures for data
security.

1: full disk destroy and rebuild with OS X (note that OS X mountain lion as
a purchased product is assigned to your account details only and no other,
so you would purchase a fresh copy of mountain lion, building an apple ID
for the new user as well as an app store / itunes account. these do not
require credit card details.

the other way is to go to accounts in system preferences, create a new super
user account and delete your current user account when you've logged into
your mac as the new super user. this will delete all preferences associated
with the user account and set up a new user account as an administrator. for
more info, please drop me a line and I'll try to help you here.

What version of Os X are you using? If Mountain Lion you can see Dropbox in
the Extras Menu, accessed with vo-m-m twice. If not, then it is not
accessible.

Hello all.
I apologize if this seems rather simple, but I can't seem to find the
answer. I'm a fairly new serious Mac user, so perhaps I'm making this
harder than it needs to be.
Instead of reformatting this Macbook 2008 before I give it to my
friend, I'm trying to sign out of all my stuff. I have signed out of
the App Store, the Twitter clients, but can't seem to sign out of
Dropbox. When I attempt to remove the application altogether, it tells
me that I cannot move the selected application to the trash because it
is currently. However, I cannot find it in the list of windows that
are currently open with command `. Is there somewhere I can disable
this application altogether and just remove it, or is there a simple
way I can sign out? Whenever I launch the app itself, VO just tells me
"dropbox has no windows". So, I'm a bit confused as to what to do
here. Any help would would greatly be appreciated!

Have a great Friday!
Scott
