Hi Steve, I believe you have to have os10.6, snow leopard before you can use gestures on the track pad. Voice over will work on 4.0 Tiger, but works much better on 10.5 Leopard. The G4 processor won't work with 10.6 however. For that, you need an intel dual core processor. I would advise an upgrade to 10.5, if you can find an install disk that's inexpensive enough. I know it's worlds better than what you would be using. It has a different voice, Alex, which is worlds better *in my opinion* than Fred, which is the default voice in 4.0. Hi everyone,, I am a recent convert to the iphone which I find amazingly accessible, so I thought I may switch allegiance from my PC to an Apple Mac computer.. I have seen a second hand Mac Book laptop with a 1.33Ghz G4 processor and 1Gb of memory. It is running OS 10.4. I thought this machine might be a good introduction for me to the world of the Mac without spending lots of money on a new machine until I know it is suitable for me. My questions are 1. Will this Mac Book have the multi gesture touch pad? 2. Will voiceover be available on OS 10.4? Any other comments or advice would be appreciated. Regards, Steve.
