I've been trying for some time now to remember the poet (and poem) of
a poem that begins:
"Terrible
the sound of a hard-boiled egg
cracked on a zinc counter
to the ears of a starving man -- "
if that rings a bell for anyone, help! I think it's a translation
from some European poet -- all is mazy-hazy.
