>In the USA, a thermosophist gets thrown out of the pool. And that's a good thing, because sophists are pretentious, loud chatters, and we don't want that in a therma. I hope A. Palma has provided for W. O. the evidence he was looking for. Many websites (do a google search 'sauna Foucault Guibert') mention that. I was pleased that Palma, _who knows_, mentions the 11th near the Bastille. It's not clear what R. Paul's point is. But the Pantheon in Paris was thus named after the Pantheon in Rome which _was_ perhaps originally heathen. Or is Paul palying on the fact that *Foucault* is a common-enough surname?
