David Horowitz responds to those, like Andreas, who shed crocodile
tears for the only major 20th century tyrant to face justice:

Brian, who doesn't understand the expression "to cry crocodile tears", also doesn't know much history. Saddam was not the only major 20th century tryant to be put to trial. Brian has forgotten the Nuremberg Trials.

Brian also doesn't understand the issue. Brian doesn't even understand what he sees in that video.

The issue is the restoration (or establishment) of a legal system in Iraq. Iraq must stop being a barbaric area where strongmen murder people. It must accept and obey laws. The state must act within the legal framework. That is why the US invaded Iraq.

However, the situation is that sectarian militias (in this case, Moqtada) seized and lynched Saddam. The trial (which was never carried out properly anyway) was forgotten and he was lynched, which anyone can see in the video. That is why the British, US, and Iraqi governments have all condemned how the hanging was carried out.

Brian can't understand the meaning of this, nor grasp the implications. He neither understands what he sees, nor understands the context of what he sees.

Add to that his lack of knowledge of history and his fumbling of metaphors, and you get his confused statements.

This is why I say the monster lives. It lives in the hearts of Brian and Lawrence who ignore legal systems and applaud violence.
