what of the possessive: 'he/i/r/s'
'Their/s'. (I rest my case.)
This stuff reminds me, still, of my fifth form struggles with leur/leurs
('they fell on
their sword/s', 'they returned to their wives no wife no wives....' ), I
tell you, English is
a lot easier.
