I know I'm not the only one with this problem, but can anyone tell me why it
happens?
In one of the shots of the fawns, in particular this one,

everything about the fawn looks normal EXCEPT the top of the nose, from eye to
tip of nose and perhaps down to parts of the chin. That bit looks over
sharpened, to me. Yet, the shot has not had any sharpening. I can see it even
in the .dng thumbnail, though that's lower resolution, so not quite as obvious.
I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the light (angle?), but I do not
know how or why. But, I have had it on a few other shots, such as this owl,

Any Einstein's amongst us have an answer?
