Hi Richard,

McCurry's trip to Dwayne's Photo in Parsons is the basis for the movie, but I think the dramatic aspect may take  liberties with the details. Still, good entertainment for photo enthusiasts.

As many of you Flexers know, the last roll of Kodachrome  was shot ten years 
ago by famed photographer Steve McCurry.
He was accompanied by a National Geographic crew to document the locales where 
he shot it. It was processed by
Dwayne's Photo in Parsons Kansas. I think that they were the last lab in the 
states to run the K14 process. I understand
that it was a complex procedure. It is essentially a B&W film where the color 
couplers are introduced during the processing.
Also I was told that the chemicals used were very toxic. There should be a You 
Tube channel about this.
