I used it for a month or so... Then upgraded to a later version. At the risk of being boring, I'll repeat that it wasn't a bad lens, but certainly not the reason I use Leica glass. With a bit of patience, you can get a Ver. 2 or 3 for a decent price, in my opinion well worth it. In an old catalogue Leica says that the elmarit-R 35mm has good contrast wide open in the centre of the image and stopping down to 5.6 the contrast is good in the corners too. Is there anyone using this lens with his/her Leicaflex;-) with satisfaction? Miha
