Not sure, Peter, but I would not think so.
If the viewer has a properly calibrated screen, then any image that was set up
on a calibrated screen should look as it was intended.
But if the viewer's screen is set to some random setting, then it would most
likely be close, but not absolutely correct.
Anyone know better than this?

Got a question you, David and anyone else who wants to add in, regarding
jpeg or raw files after processing. Ok, here's the context of this
question - I finally calibrated my desktop monitor and laptop screen,
and was amazed at the difference! I know, I know...what took me so long?
Procrastination, is all I can confess; but man, now that it's done -
what a difference! Now, I am wondering if an image file that I edit and
looks great on my newly adjusted monitor/screen will it look just as
good on an uncalibrated screen in the playback now that the file was
edited in a good environment? Rookie question I know, but I'm working
baby-steps here, folks... :) Thanks.
