You lucky people!

I unfortunately only know Pisa from a 2-day business trip to visit Enel Green Power (who have their headquarters there), Florence station from changing trains and the area around Larderello underground to a depth of about 8 km (geophysical surveying and processing for geothermal energy sources).

However, the 2 days in Pisa were wonderful, a great place, getting there on the train from Milan was an adventure and really great sightseeing tour through the mountains and along the coast.

When I find time, a week in Pisa is on the cards - it's not that its expensive, TuiFLY gets me there for about €75 return from Hannover, just too busy.

Cheers
Douglas

Fabio,

Yes, I (mostly) grew up there and spent many years there as well.

And Tuscany itself I explored extensively with my Morini 3-1/2, on foot and underground.

Now exiled in Northern Germany, where the land is flat...

    linda and all,
things that do not cost so much is an important point.
do i need to spend a lot of money to be happy? easy answer.
i like walking in the country almost all the weekend time (just
back from the morning walk and to leave for the afternoon one).
very low cost. in the last weeks (maybe: months) i prefer walk
qith no camera all all. it seems to me to better live the
environment. later i might be able to shoot better pictures?
Sigh! I remember my walks around Monte Giovi and the Pratomagno
(not to mention the Alpi Apuane and the Val di Lima)....

    Greet Firenze for me, Flavio!
