Slobodan,

the entire automotive industry in Germany is currently on its knees, the banks that were so happy to invest their money in sub-prime deals are now holding back on the credit the companies desperately need to pay their suppliers. Not a day goes by without the papers reporting at least 5 companies who are laying staff off, cutting back production or extending factory holidays.

German railways have just had to take out a lease on 170 km of private track to store the freight wagons not being used as a result of transportation cutbacks.

The port of Hamburg has also just about run out of mooring facilities for ships laid up waiting for cargo contracts.

These are not good signs!!

It's time the cats that got the cream off all those hot-air credit deals, hedging and similar were given a taste of what they did to the rest of the world - confiscate their assets is what I say. The money isn't lost, it's just in other pockets.

Cheers
Douglas

Nearly everyday, I drive by a whole section of the Port of LA, which has row after row of MB. A radio report claimed a month's supply has been sitting there, with no place to go. I think, having driven by this port section for decades, that it's looking more a whole quarter's worth of sales is sitting on that dock. The only problem about getting a great discount purchasing these puppies, is that they really, really, get you in the service end.

Maybe some economics basics will be brought to Dr Kaufman (ie Buyer) if he wants to sell.

CL.2 Diesel and R9.2 Diesel - that would be a nice offer

A tavola !
