David,
I admit that I was very puzzled by that nonsensical quote.
I recall from my Dad-the-newspaper-reporter:
“Nobody cares what you print about them as long as you spell their name
properly."

Hi Bill!
What I've not figured out is how Eagles could screw up a quote, so badly.
I gave him Ted's quote, verbatim. He tape recorded the call. I gave him the
link in PhotoQuotes.com, so he could cut and paste, yet, in the first
sentence, he managed to turn
We are judged, not by the photographs we take, but by the
photographs we show.
into:
He never took a photo he always showed a picture.
which is not only just plain wrong, it doesn't even make sense!
That, and a few other small factual and spelling errors, mark it as small
town journalism.
Still, a nice tribute.
Nice enough that I will place it with my other Ted memorabilia.
Glad you liked it.
David.
David,
Nicely done.
Thanks,
Bill

As a follow on to my Dave Eagles story, he'd contacted me, last
week, for more info on Ted.
The resulting article is in today's edition of Kamlooops, This
