Thanks Ted. Doug is right; I just stood by the feeder (about 3 feet away) with my eye to the finder for about 3 hours; changing position occasionally. Took over 500 images! Sure am glad I didn't have to soup; the wonders of digital. And, quite honestly, even though it was fun photographing them, it was wonderful just to sit back and watch them interact and play. They are amazing little buzz rockets. At one point a raptor showed up overhead and all of the hummers (probably 50 or 60 on all the feeders) were gone in the blink of an eye. Real survivors these guys. Thanks for looking and especially for your response. J We have humming birds around here sometimes at the hanging flower baskets, but they’re so fast I you don’t happen to be looking in the flower pot direction you don’t see them. Even when I’ve had a camera handy on the table, before I pick it up … “POOF” like smoke in a wind…. They are gone. L So it’s hats off to you for these fine examples. ted
