For transmitting data back and forth:

Make sure you have gone into Midi setup (Midi menu) and select your midi
ports for your sound card and select the Midi channel, most likely channel
1.

You have to get Sound Editor ready to transmit. From the Midi menu select
"Transmit", then select your option but do not hit OK yet.....

On the X5D, hit the Gobal button and then page over (page buttons) until you
see something like Midi dump. I don't have my keyboard in front of me so I
don't remember the exact text. Use the arrow keys to move to the right where
it says OK on the bottom line. I still haven't figured out which is optimal,
either hitting ok on the X5D first and then OK in Sound Editor Transmit
data, or the other way around. This will transmit the data. It takes a while
and when Sound Editor is finished the indicator goes away and the process is
complete.

Let me know if this works....

Randy
