Hello... :)

4 Days ago, I bought a brand new Korg X5D for 4,1 million rupiahs (4,1 juta
rupiah), maybe about US$ 550. It's my very first synthesizer (I didn't even have
any keyboard before, only piano and Yamaha Electone).

I had read a lot of reviews about X5D before I bought it. But the manual is
still confusing, especially for an English-as-the-second-language beginner. I
have also read some things about "Synthesizer for Beginners" on the internet,
but none taught me about how to face 2 lines LCD and abbreviations <:o)

These are what I'm going to ask:

* I connect the synth with my PC via MIDI cable (MIDI to joystick port). I'm
using SoundEditor 1.1. It can detect my synth. I can also select the soundbank
from the software (ie: if I click Prog sound 72 with my mouse, the synth will
response and switch to Prog sound 72). But if I try to transmit it, it will
response with "All Program Parameter Dump". I wait a long time, but nothing
happen. What's wrong? Do I have to wait longer, or misuse the software, or set
the wrong option on my synth?

* It is said that I can't import sample the synth. So, what am I doing when I'm
download the sound from internet? Is it just the sound configuration?

* Can I use 2 pedals, damper and soundbank-switch simultaneously?

* Can I change the bending-wheel to 1 semitone only for EVERY soundbank in the
synth just by changing only 1 setting? Or do I have to adjust every soundbank
one by one?

* Can I switch the mailing list to digest mode?

OK. These are all for now. Thank you all:)
