In my humble, but considered opinion, the X5 blows the socks off of the
other synths you mentioned.  In fact, except for the more expensive Korgs I
don't think you can beat it.

(the keyboard, especially the black notes do not respond evenly and that's
my only complaint.


I'd borrow it as long as possible.
