[JA] Recovering dbd files

Hi,

I'm new here so bear with me. I have two questions that have probably
been asked many times before:

(1) How do I recover my folders from a dbd file that Juno can't read?
Someone tells me there is a standalone program that can read dbd's and
turn them into importable folders. Yes? Where do I find it?

I think my archives and Inbox got too big for Juno5 or something (W98 2nd
ed O/S) because Juno kept failing to start and terminated with a system
error in a file called JCORE.DLL. (I had about 4000 accumulated messages
in my Inbox, about 30 folders, and a 370 MB dbd file altogether.) I tried
copying my USER0000 folder elsewhere, uninstalling Juno, downloading the
latest version and reinstalling it, and copying my user folder back
again, but I kept getting the same crash.

So now I am starting over with a clean slate, except that I'd sure like
to get my old data back somehow, even if I have to prune it back.

(2) How do I subscribe to the digest version of this group. I followed
the directions on my welcome message, but my message came back
undeliverable with the message that freelists.dhs.org was not a valid
domain name.

Thanks.

Bob Avery
