The usb3 port is part of the MB. The hd is a 1TRB and part of the free agent
gofelx external drive that came with two bottom pieces which are
interchangeable  .one is used when connected to usb2 the other when
connected to the usb3 port .
I think I brought it from dabs or rather Sheila did as a present

Are your USB 3 sockets part of the Mobo, or have you used a PCI E 
version USB card?
