Set the transparency value to 0 - which is usually white. There must be a transparency options in PS - it's available in PSP. Bitmaps don't retain transparency when you save them. Option one is to save as a GIF. Option 2 is to save as a PNG file. You can then rename this to a BMP file - some programs will accept this but some won't (you won't see the transparency in Explorer for example). bones -----Original Message----- From: jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jhb-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Mike Lucas Sent: 28 January 2008 14:53 To: jhb@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [jhb] OT - graphics/transparent background Anyone out there know how to convert a white background in an existing image to a transparent background using Photoshop or similar?
