Really? That never seem s to work for me. I don't use Outlook Express (it is
on my computer though) and I use the full version of OUtlook but I checked
there and can find nothing that might help solve this problem.

I have exactly the same problem!! In my case Messenger will start everytime
I open Outlook Express. Anyway, you can know if it's running by checking the
system tray using ins+F11.
