Hi Fran. When it said it was disabled it wasn't talking about shoot the 
messenger being disabled it was talking about the port it closed so spammers 
can't get to you mainly through windows messenger. On my system shoot the 
messenger isn't in the system tray, but I think I remember that it does stay 
running. I assume you can take it out of your system tray if you want to.
