Hello. Every time you update Firefox, using JAWS versions 8 and 9, it is necessary to edit a line in the config names.ini file. This file is located under this following path:

start.
programs.
jaws 8.0 (or jaws 9.0).
explore jaws.
explore shared settings.

Reaching this path, you find the above mentioned config names.ini file, you press Enter to view it with Notepad.
Search the following line:

;ie7
(do a copy & paste because there's a semi-comma at the beginning of that line; otherwise you would risk to write a wrong line in research window).

When found the line, press Home to go at beginning. Now press Enter and then up arow key.
Write now the following (do also in this case, a copy & paste):

firefox3.5.3=firefox

Save changes and exit.

The next update of Firefox, you will edit the config names.ini and change the Firefox version number.

So JAWS 9 will be able to interact properly with it.

Using JAWS 10, persons say it is not needed this procedure.

Best regards

Stefano
