This is only a problem if using power management turn your power =
management
off and disable your screen saver and this problem will go away

I have found that leaving the computer unattended with JAWS loaded using =
X P
is an  invitation for sluggishness. So if I  am away for an hour, I =
close
out JAWS for sure.
