I would look at your startup group and see if you have a lot of things
running at startup. If you do, it is best to examine which ones you
*really*need and keep only the ones that truely matter. The less the
computer has to work at startup the faster it'll go at the beginning. Try
changing screen resolutions too, JAWS may be having trouble determining
things which can slow it down. Also check out your power management settings.
I have mineset to never on every setting in the home/office desk power
scheme which should be the default. Lastly,JAWS has problems with some
differentdisplay settings. the background that FS recommends is set to
bliss and the position is stretch. So try all those things and if JAWS is
still sluggish, it might be time to upgrade your processor speed to 3 ghz
or higher.
