Now you've got me laughing, too, thinking of all the tricks we have to learn to play on Jaws to get it not to talk weird. While we're at it, how about spelling out your first name phonetically in some way, if you can, so I can imagine how it's actually pronounced? Is it something like ko-reen'? Or what? And, is it a man's name or a woman's name? And from what language and culture does it come? Thanks very much. I really love learning things like this, and understanding more about the community we're in together on a list like this. your . ----- Original Message ----- From: "Korin Trytko" <gryffontko@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 10:46 AM Subject: Re: reply from FS re problems with RealSpeak Thanks Yardbird, for bringing this up, It gets to me too. It's one thing that can be done to improve the readability for Jaws. *smile* It still refuses to say my first name right no matter what I do. Oh, it can say my last name just fine though. *muttering VoiceNote can, my old DecTalk could... *laughing Korin Trytko Have a good one! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, October 16, 2006 7:26 AM Subject: Re: reply from FS re problems with RealSpeak > Hi guys, > > As I suggested earlier, if you capitalize the "s" in the middle of the > word, > it then sounds in Jaws as people actually say it, instead of something > like > re Ul spee yak.
