Hi Kimsan;

The 1.6 version is older than the 1.7 version. I have not played around
with the 1.7 version much, & has been a long time since I have so, I can't
tell you if there are added benefits to running version 1.7. Take care.
Mike

  Hi Mike:

I was always wondering what is the difference between the two programs
besides the version numbers?:)

  Hi Heather;

Try AutoSizer. AutoSizer Is A Program That Will Maximize Almost Any
Window Automatically. Below are direct download links for 2 different
versions.

  Hope this helps. Take care.

    Heather and Dave:

there is not a format menu option on the menu bar, when you are in the
Read Message window.

the options that are available are: File; Edit; View and Tools.

However, there is a Format option on the menu bar, in the Reply window.

I tried the first suggestion but, I cant do alt o for some reason.
But I can put in txt only but I like to have the links. It is weird, it
just started doing that! I remember there was an option to read messages as
in the format in which they were sent but, I cant remember where that was!
I think if I uncheck that box, if it is checked, maybe it will solve the
problem. Thanks Heather

        Is your window maximized?

Also when in the message, Alt-o for the Format menu, then arrow down
to encoding. If it's not on Western, give that a try, as well.

Whenever I get a message that is Unicode, I can never read it. These
messages say "Unicode" in the title bar, so that gives me a clue.

Another way to ensure that all messages will be read as plain text
regardless of the format in which they were created:

        Tools/Options

        Read Page

Check the "Read all messages as plain text"

The downside of this is that if you receive messages with links, I
think you cannot click on them to launch.

Hello, when ever I type a message using outlook express and go
back to read the message, jaws gets stuck and keeps repeating the same thing
over and over. I have to keep clicking on the text in the message to make
jaws read the text properly! It is kind of hard because I cant see where the
mouse is! Any ideas how to fix jaws from doing this? I have windows xp-pro
and jaws 10. I read all my messages in html not txt. Thanks Heather
