Terra, you can succeed in copying something new just by responding Yes to that dialogue. it's asking you if you're finished collecting multiple things with the append feature and ready to overwrite that stuff with a normal control c copy action now. If you don't want to lose what you've been collecting with the Append feature, you could always use it again (Windows C, as you know) to add one more thing to the group and then when you paste it with Insert V somewhere and don't want to keep the old items where you're pasting, just delete them and leave the most recent item you added. Everything will still remain on the clipboard if that's how you want to do this. But if you really aren't trying to retain what you put into the clipboard anymore, just say Yes and the Clipboard will work in the standard way again. Hope I've understood the question. yo're ----- Original Message ----- From: "Terra Syslo" <tlsyslo@xxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, October 05, 2008 4:25 PM Subject: help with JFW and clipboard I am trying to copy something to the clipboard by using control C. I had previously copied something and appended to it, but I want to copy a new selection. I get a message that asks me if I want to overwrite the operation. I chose no, and it didn't copy anything I had selected, just part of the previous selection. How do I clear the clipboard so I can copy something else to it? http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/home.faces?siteId=3 email and MSN: tlsyslo@xxxxxxxxx -- JFW related links: JFW homepage: http://www.freedomscientific.com/ Scripting mailing list: http://lists.the-jdh.com/listinfo.cgi/scriptography-the-jdh.com JFW List instructions: To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
