I think what is probably happening to you is the same as I sometimes experience, the mouse doesn't want to do what a sighted mouse user wants it to when jaws is on, jaws dictates some things in a way that doesn't work well with a sighted persons mousing needs and I have found my self in dead silence after a sighted person has looked at my computer for more than a few minutes especially if they open a program for there use. I would use the insert f4 kill to jaws, and set a hot key to restart jaws (an alternative to the insert f4 is making a shortcut, then a hot key for the kill jaws file that is within the jaws folder, if you want this ask me and I'll dig out and pass you the instructions for finding it) this way you free the mouse making things easier for her, and can restart jaws fresh for you, which should take care of the jam up and make it easier on you as well. I use JAWS 12 and Windows 7. Sometimes, after my wife has been fooling with the computer, I find the keyboard frozen, useless. She can do stuff with the mouse, but somehow she kills the keyboard. Does that happen to anybody else, and if so what can I do, short of shutting down the computer, which is not always a good option for me. Glad you sent it on. For now—the attachment is already here. It needs to go to “My documents.” I couldn’t make that happen yesterday. Glad you got in touch. I have JAWS 12, and use Windows Live Mail 11. I have to attach a document into the “My documents” file from an e-mail, and so far I can’t. Also, I can’t delete contacts from my contacts list, what used to be called “Address book” in Outlook Express. Freedom Scientific had no help at all for me, and neither did my sighted friend who put the computer together. He can only do things with the mouse, not the keyboard, so has no idea what keys will get me to the Contacts List. Don Wardlow
