Exactly. I always try and switch it to normal, but then every time I open
Word, it switches back, and sometimes I just don't think of changing it.

If print layout is checked under the view menu, the first thing Jaws
will say when a document is opened will be "print." I always work under

goes back from the dialog asking yes or no to the document itself without saying "copied." That's all i meant. And it doesn't copy, because when I try again I get the same dialog asking yes or no do I want to overwrite it, and back and forth sometimes three to four times.

Hi, I have to admit I don't know what you're describing, below. Goes back to the document? From where? And reads some print control button on the tool bar? Which tool bar? I always set up Word so that no extra tool bar, certainly not one with commands someone could click a mouse on to perform various functions, even appears on my Word screen. I'm sorry. I just don't have any experience like what you and the other person have described. But again, what do you mean about when it goes back? goes back, or comes back, From what or where?

Word always reads the print option in the toolbar when it goes back to the document. Don't know why.

For me, it is Word. I will use FS clipboard to select, copy, and append the text I want to put in, then control-V. All works fine. then, sometimes, I will select another area, press controlC, word will pause, and then just say "print" and go back to the document without saying "copied." Yesterday I had to select again and press control C multiple times (with answering yes each time) for it to copy the new text. Now usually, it works just great, but sometimes, it gets a bit sluggish and flaky when I've had Word up for a while, something I have to do with my job. i just think it would be a nice thing to have a way of just clearing the clipboard without having to try to copy something else and answer yes.

Sorry, but I don't think it's the FS clipboard that's messed up.
One thing you might want to check is how your system is displaying highlighted text. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but it might. Of course, you know how to select individual words, sentences, etc., right?
And depending where you are trying to use the clipboard, there are clipboard settings in Word you might want to turn off. I can't remember what they are right now, but the MS clipboard might be set up differently on your computer. And I have no idea if it's Word you're working in or not.
But again, I really don't think the FS clipboard is the problem here.

Why would you need to clear it? Just do a normal cut or copy to the clipboard and a dialog pops up warning you that this will erase what's already there, if you've used windows+C. Answer yes to this and you're good to go.
