Hi, Judy,

Most email applications have a way to insert pictures into a message. Some people may not accept messages with pictures, for security reasons. Some viruses are contained in image files.

In Outlook Express, for example, you can go to the insert menu and choose picture. This is only possible if you either change your default message format to HTML first, or go to the format menu inside a message and choose HTML. I'd recommend the second option, because many mailing lists do not accept HTML messages, and many blind folks do not have their mail programs set to read HTML.

Personally, I have my reading set to allow HTML, but my message composition set to plain text.

I hope this helps,
Teresa

Subject: forwarding pics and images.

Hello again,

A question I've had for quite some time: Many times I'll get amessage in my Windows Mail inbox that contains pics or images--not as attachments, but as part of the message. When I forward the message on, I'm told that the images won't be sent, do I want to send the message anyway?. I always answer "yes," because it's more important to me that the message go through, but I'd like for the images to be forwarded, too. What settings do I need to change?

Thanks once again.

Judy
