can't copy selected in windows explorer

Hello Allan:

After you have selected the text in windows explorer, Have you checked the 
text you've selected with the shift plus jaws key along with the down 
arrow?when you do that, it should say something like, selected text is, and 
their you go. Just trying too help, hope you don't mind.
