I agree. I neglected to add what Allen says here, which is that I suspect
Jaws is simply misreporting. I simply haven't experimented by copying
something with Jaws saying it hasn't copied, then pasting into another
folder whatever is in the Clipboard, to see if Jaws was telling the truth.

But I think Allen's right. That Jaws is just a little crazy at times like
this.

Subject: can't copy selected in windows explorer

i think actually it does copy but only jaws announce "nothing selected".

hmm, perhaps this is a known issue for jaws 8.0 user? i also facing the same
problem some time. i wil try this two way to fix it.

1. reload jaws 8.0, some time this way solf my problem.

2. restart the machine, this way surely can fix the problem.

hope this helps.

BlankHello listers,

I have the latest version of jaws running on an xp pro machine with sp2.

While in windows explorer I have a text file selected and when I try to copy
it to the clip board with control c I get told that
nothing is selected.

But if I press the applications key and the context menu opens and I select
the copy it does it.

Anyone have an answer to this issue?

Maybe I have a windows setting wrong or some jaws 8 setting wrong.

Don't have this issue with jaws 7 or earlier

Best
