Hi,
I don't know how to correct this when it happens to me, too, except by
either exiting jaws and then relaunching it or even exiting all running
applications and restarting my computer. If I recall correctly, just exiting
and relaunching Jaws usually corrects it for the duration of that session on
the computer.

There aren't any settings you could have made or changed regarding this. To
properly report cutting, copying and pasting files is supposed to be simply
a default function of jaws, not something you have to adjust. In other
words, Jaws 8 is buggy in this way, as it is in a million other ways. BTW,
for what it may matter, I'm running Win XP Home, SP2. But it's not your
fault, is what I'm saying.

If there's an actual fix, hope someone can contribute it.

Subject: can't copy selected in windows explorer

BlankHello listers,

I have the latest version of jaws running on an xp pro machine with sp2.

While in windows explorer I have a text file selected and when I try to copy
it to the clip board with control c I get told that nothing is selected.

But if I press the applications key and the context menu opens and I select
the copy it does it.

Anyone have an answer to this issue?

Maybe I have a windows setting wrong or some jaws 8 setting wrong.

Don't have this issue with jaws 7 or earlier

Best
