Along these lines, I applied for a dispatching job here in my county earlier this year. A problem that I ran into was the fact that the E911 board leased their computers, meaning in order to make any changes to those computers, like loading jaws on them, you had to get their permission. I still haven't heard back from them, and that was over six months ago. Thankfully, I'm working again, but no thanks to them. I'm saying this not to criticize the local E911 board, but to tell you that not every company will let you put jaws on their machines. Not sure why, but some companies are just like that.
