RE: Word 2003 Problem

It sounds like she's got a slow pc with too little memory, and like us
all, over time has added more and more software packages which run at
startup, and so are running when she's trying to run Word.

Removing some of these (firewalls, antivirus, antispyware, all kinds of
convenience software, etc.) would help; of course, so would adding
memory if she doesn't have at least 2gb.

Deleting normal.dot won't hurt; almost no one has customized it so that
they would mind losing it. If she has just try renaming it instead.

hth,

Chip
