not on 32 bit systems this is a hardware limitation and the only way to get 
past it is going to a 64 bit os.  32 bits only can handle a max of 4 gigs of 
addressing.

  I'm pretty positive that isn't true. I'm sure XP recognised up to 4GB and I 
could be wrong but doesn't Vista recognise something incredible like 1 
terrabyte instead.

sees memory up to 3 gigabytes.  Is this true?
