Actually it will see up to aproximately 3.6 gigs depending on how your hardware 
is mapping out memory for devices.  My 4 gig Vista system here reports 3.53 
gigs out of the 4 gig total.

  This is in fact true.  All 32 bit operating systems will handle up to 3 gb of 
ram.  This is a limitation of the 32 bit implementation.  The 64 bit operating 
systems do not have this issue.

  I talked with a sales rep from gateway thursday, and he told me vista only 
sees memory up to 3 gigabytes.  Is this true?
